Laundry Trip/Homework

V81 students are sorting the clothes.

They are separating the darks from the whites.

One students is holding the laundry bag while another student places the dirty clothes we will use in ADL class.

A student from X01 is carefully watching the clothes get washed.

Two students are separating the nickels from the dimes to get more quarters.

Where does the detergent go? Where does the softener go? What is the difference between pre-wash and wash?

Getting ready to bring the clothes to the dryer!

Let's start folding!

Students from V81 are working together to get the job done.

Maria assists Oscar with folding an apron. Folding this apron was different from folding a hand towel.

More folding. I think they are getting the hang of it!

Yikes! All the apron strings are tangled! Thank you Ms. Vasques. I think we need to review the Laundry Essentials again.

One student from V81 had many great questions for the lady at the laundromat. He asked," how much each machine can wash?' What is the difference from the double loader and the largest loader?! The largest loader can wash 7lbs more. Who knew! Good questioning for clarification.

Time to pack up the folded laundry.

Today was a successful day at the laundromat. Heading back to MSCD!!!

For homework, please reflect back on the trip and write about the successes and challenges we had at the laundromat. Did we follow all the steps from Laundry Essentials? Did we have all the information to wash clothes independently?

Look forward to seeing and reading your responses! Tomorrow I will not be at school. See everyone Friday!
