“Muscles aching to work, minds aching to create - this is man.” ― John Steinbeck, The Grapes of Wrath

To close September's unit, Change & Continuity, class V81 sorted and reviewed the vocabulary words onto the word wall. The purpose of the word wall is still the same as last year's unit on recycling--it is to be reused, recycled, and respected. Increasing your vocabulary is high priority because

“as vocabulary is reduced , so are the number of feelings you can express, the number of events you can describe, the number of the things you can identify! Not only understanding is limited, but also experience. Man grows by language." ― Sheri S. Tepper

Maria assisted Carlos with spelling different items for the
breakfast cart in the morning. We know coffee is a definite
MUST for teachers.
Oscar is adding oranges to the list. He is trying to
keep the teachers of MSCD healthy.

Today, we talked about the quote titling this post, “Muscles aching to work, minds aching to create - this is man.” We need to continuously work and create this year. And I know we will together.

For homework, I want you to choose 1 of 3 options:

Option 1: I want you to work and create a list of questions (at least 5) to ask teachers while we survey them about items for lunch.
Option 2: I want you to work and create a list of questions (at least 5) to ask teachers while we survey them about snack items.
Option 3: I want you to work and create a list of questions (at least 5) to ask teachers while we survey them about snack and lunch items.

***If you need additional help to complete the assignment, please ask your parents, guardian, or siblings to help out. Or you can always email me at msyip751@gmail.com***
