Today we spent time addressing the issues that we face today--just as the Joads had to address the issues at their time such as the Great Depression. We made connections to the worlds and event to the text of the month (Grapes of Wrath). Below are the notes from class. For the students who missed the lesson, please review and be ready for a brief discuss tomorrow.
Homework: Select 1 of 3 options.
Option 1: Please reflect on the lesson today and create a list of 3 reasons why this is important.
Option 2: Please reflect on the lesson today and write three sentences explaining why this is important.
Option 3: Please reflect on the lesson today and write five sentences explaining why this is important.
45 minutes is not enough but that is all the time we have together!!!
45 minutes is allotted for each class. If you, at anytime, are confused or have additional questions please take a post-it and stick it on the "parking lot." I will address your comments, questions, and/or concerns the following day or via email.
